Personal Identification Method by Slipper-type Device with IMU Sensor

This research assumes the use of user personal identification for the purpose of user management in places where people gather, such as senior stations and community centers, and aims at personal identification in daily activities without using a camera. We defined the gait of the user as a daily movement in the target indoor facility, and focused on the "footwear" used in the facility as a method of measuring the movement. In particular, slippers are often used in the target indoor facilities. Therefore, we propose a method to measure walking motion and identify an individual by incorporating a sensor into it. With the introduction of this device, individuals can be identified in places where people gather, and it becomes possible to record people's behavior such as attendance rate and repeat rate.
